High-Quality Research

Produce evidence-based public research on policies, investments, and programs essential for shaping a productive, sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agricultural and food system in Uganda

Platform for Dialogue

Provide a collaborative platform that facilitates dialogue among public and private sector stakeholders, civil society, and development partners, ensuring active participation in agricultural policy development.

Integration of Findings

Ensure that research findings are integrated into national, regional, and international investments and policy strategies, guiding agricultural transformation with evidence-based approaches.

Capacity Building

Support the development and strengthening of policy research, analysis, and outreach capacities within public and private institutions through strategic alliances and targeted capacity-building initiatives
Vision
We envision a future where Uganda’s agricultural systems are transformed through sustainable practices, robust policies, and effective stakeholder engagement, ultimately contributing to food security, economic growth, and improved livelihoods for all Ugandans.
Mission
At the Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC), our mission is to: coordinate, implement, and conduct objective research and analysis that yields evidence-based policy solutions. We are dedicated to sustainably transforming Uganda’s agricultural and food systems by tackling food and nutrition insecurity, alleviating poverty, enhancing agricultural competitiveness, promoting trade, creating jobs, and revitalizing both rural and urban economies.
