Our Objectives
APRC is guided by clear objectives that reflect our commitment to impactful research and policy development
Our history
Since its inception in 2009 as part of the Africa Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes (ANAPRI), the Development and Nutrition Research (DANRE) unit has been at the forefront of agricultural policy research in Uganda. This affiliation has allowed us to collaborate with leading agricultural policy research institutes across Africa, enhancing our capacity for policy advocacy, research dissemination, and capacity building. Recognizing the urgent need for a dedicated think tank to support Uganda’s agricultural transformation, DANRE has taken the lead in establishing APRC, aligning our goals with the broader continental movement towards evidence-based agricultural development.
